PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe, students will create their own version of a close up flower, while exploring monoprinting with foam board and paint.
OBJECTIVES
● Students will learn about the life of Georgia O’Keeffe and her bond with nature.
● Students will be introduced to the medium of printmaking.
● Students will transfer a contour line drawing onto a foam plate to make a monoprint of a flower.
SUPPLIES
● Scratch foam (9”x12”), Black paper (9”x12”- Artagain)
● Sketch paper (9”x 12” newsprint)
● Plates (for mixing paints)
● Dull pencils
● 2 watercolor brushes (small and medium)
● Paper towel for wiping brushes between colors (no water cups)
