Last winter, a request for proposals for our next building wrap was sent out through Sculpture Magazine, published by the International Sculpture Center, and CallForEntry.org, a well-known arts portal visited by professional artists worldwide. Almost two hundred submissions were received from designers, architectural firms, and studio artists from Los Angeles to New York, London to Japan. An exceptionally high percentage were extremely interesting and worthy of display.

Select design proposals submitted for the Second PVAC Building Wrap will be presented in Cover These Walls, opening September 6th. The designs are as varied as the artists themselves. Vector graphics abound, presenting abstract patterns as well as recognizable objects. Some designs focus on color studies; others are distinguished by the use of bold black and white. Photo-collage is combined with street-style drawing in some and with text in others. One of our favorite proposals captures the child-like delight of drawing in crayon outside the lines. The exhibition continues through October 26.
