PVAC Annual Student Art Exhibition

Palos Verdes Art Center/Beverly G. Alpay Center for Arts Education proudly presents the Annual Student Art Exhibition, featuring Palos Verdes Peninsula student artwork.

Art At Your Fingertips is a Palos Verdes Art Center school-based outreach program that brings visual arts education to elementary school classrooms from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade.

Established in 1976, this program reaches 6,000 students annually on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Run completely by parent volunteers, AAYF’s paramount objective is to make every child feel comfortable using art as a means of expression.

Projects selected for 2024-25 were Proud as a Peacock by Lee-Jean Lin, Water Lilies by Ashish Sharma, The Original Recycler: Louise Nevelson by Lee-Jean Lin, Go Fish by Robin Kiss, and PV Lighthouse at Sunset by Robin Kiss.

Palos Verdes Peninsula schools included: Cornerstone, Dapplegray, Lunada Bay, Mira Catalina, Montemalaga, Peninsula Montessori, Point Vicente, Rancho Vista, Rolling Hills Country Day School, Silver Spur, St. John Fisher, Soleado, and Vista Grande with participation by Parnassus Preparatory Academy, Center for Learning Unlimited in Torrance, Kettering Elementary in Long Beach, and Riviera Hall Lutheran School in Redondo Beach.

Also on view were selected works from the John Wessel Photography Program, presented in partnership with the Ann & Steven Hinchliffe San Pedro & Peninsula YMCA summer teen program.

We thank our parent volunteers, contributing artists and participating schools and their PTOs and PTAs for their support.
