Los Angeles County Fire Department Referee Hearing
and Defensible Space Informational Meeting
The Atrium at PVAC
Saturday, February 28, 2026, 3–6 pm
Every year, the Los Angeles County Fire Department sends notice to owners whose property is located within a fire hazard severity zone designated by the Department of Forestry and CAL FIRE, or has been historically identified with a potential fire hazard by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. These properties are inspected by LAFD for compliance with brush clearance to create “Defensible Space” for effective fire protection of lives, the environment, and property.
On Saturday, February 28 from 3 to 6 pm, join us in the Atrium at PVAC when members of Los Angeles County Fire Department will explain the process. After the presentation, property owners may meet individually with LAFD representatives to discuss particular issues.
