Price’s sculptures are records of action, movement, and moments of time that he captures in glass. Gestural, gravity-defying pieces like this example highlight the illusive qualities of glass and how it transforms from molten to solid. Price juxtaposes motion with stillness to create his static and perplexing, freestanding ribbons of glass.
BIO
Born in Orange, California in 1983, Greg Price graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BA in Art in 2007. He then went on to receive his MFA in sculpture from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2012. Gregory lives and works in Santa Ana, CA at the Logan Creative Arts Complex.
