MICHAEL HERNANDEZ

Hernandez has a playful, cheeky take on shaping glass into unprecedented sculptural commentary. He uses the malleable and eye-catching material to defy norms and create conversations on aspects of contemporary life, sensuality, and pop culture. Based in San Diego, Hernandez teaches glass at Palomar College. In addition to blown glass, Hernandez works with neon and mixed media to fully explore new artistic applications for glass.
