MARIAH ARMSTRONG CONNER
Conner’s installation addresses our tenuous connection with nature and the threats that exist from plastic pollution, micro plastics, and the damages that plastics are ravaging on marine ecosystems. For Tipping Point, precarious stacks of glass beach rocks are filled with collected marine detritus. They stand like cairns, serving as capsules for relics of the past and containing the evidence of environmental destruction.
