2020 PIE SERIES
Lemon Meringue Pie ~ January 27
Palos Verdes Art Center, in partnership with Palos Verdes School Gardens, presents 2020 PIE SERIES, an introductory pie making workshop. Students will begin with a hands-on culinary lesson in selecting fresh ingredients, making the perfect crust and hand crafting a beautiful and delicious seasonal pie. Instruction will include learning about the tools, vocabulary, and methods for making great pie. This project is an exploration of flavor, color, and edible elements resulting in a delicious and beautiful seasonal pie. Participants will leave with their hand crafted pies boxed to go.
The workshop is taught by Robin Quintana, Programs Director for Palos Verdes School Gardens, an edible education nonprofit in the South Bay of Los Angeles and Lead Teacher for the Palos Verdes Art Center gARTen and FoodLab, a garden, culinary and arts education program. Her work brings the community together via her creative interpretations of garden and art through food.
Ages 8 to Adult.
Class will take place at Palos Verdes Art Center.
