gARTen to Kitchen Camp @ Palos Verdes Art Center
Two unique camp weeks:

We are cultivating a vibrant space where young campers can experience an educational, garden-based “culinary meets the arts” adventure. Our camp program is designed to spark interest in healthy fresh foods with interactive activities that allow your young campers to explore their creative garden and culinary sides.

Our Farmer-Chef instructors will show campers how to harvest fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs from our own edible garden for every class. Campers will be awakened to new tastes, learn new culinary techniques and use local season produce to prepare recipes from cuisines around the world while learning how nutrition, math, science, art, and history can be discovered on their plate.

During the Garden to Kitchen Camp your student will learn:

Knife Skills & Safety
Garden/Kitchen Etiquette
Positive Global Food Culture
Plating/Dish Composition
Proper Place Setting
Garden/Kitchen/Art Skills

Students will also learn life skills they can take beyond the outdoor classroom that will help them to make healthier choices well into the future.

Includes snacks and lunch.  Please note that items may be adapted or changed to suit student needs.  We request that you note on the Registration Form any dietary needs.  We may call for additional information. Items may also change due to seasonal availability.

Drop off begins at 8:45 am.  Pick up no later than 3:15 pm.  Bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and a sun hat.  Parents please park and walk in your camper on the first day of camp.
